Daniel is always good at doubting himself, so I thought it only natural that he would overthink things on Abydos. I'm glad he had his new family to help him through it. I imagine Sha're kicked him out of their quarters because she was tired of him moping around that day, and sent Skaara after him to make sure he's okay. Or something like that. lol
Thank you so much for reading! :-) And I'll definitely be back as a cook. (But first I need to read all the other wonderful stories of this Soup. I'm still stuck at B. Oops.)
I was already thinking of Daniel looking at the pen in "Forever in a Day" and talking about how amazed Sha're would be at it before the last line. Knowing what will happen always makes stories on Abydos bittersweet. I like this moment between the good brothers.
Oooh, I like this story! Great portrayal of both Daniel and Skaara. And I love how you made the lighter into more than a piece of memorabilia. Great job! Thanks for sharing!

Somehow Daniel and love are the two words that always cause even more heartache. I couldn't help myself.
Thank you for reading. :)

It makes sense that Daniel, in the aftermath, might have doubts and half-regrets. How lovely to think of Skaara helping him work through it!
I adore Abydos, and I love what you've done here. Thanks so much for participating in the Soup!
