I'm glad that it seems things in Saitama are starting to return to normal. I was worried because it was next to Chiba, which seemed to be hit pretty hard. Stay safe!!
Yes, I think that's the best word. It was on the tip of my tongue, and sounds more correct than "evacuation area."
Actually Saitama had the same amount of earthquake as Chiba, but I think because it's not on the coast it was a little bit better than things there. But things in both places aren't so bad compared to up north. Just lots of little things.
Thanks for being here. Because Keita is working the night shift, I spend the evenings by myself at home. None of my friends live close, so I'm all alone here. It's a lot less lonely when I am able to write here and talk with people.
Well if you need anything! Give a holler! I'm contactable through aim, skype or facebook. I know how hard it is to sleep (especially alone) not knowing what tomorrow will bring

I find that when I panic, helping others makes me feel better and less panicky. I'm sure some of the shelters and what not could use some help. Also, perhaps you could be a volunteer for the embassy. I'm sure there will be tons of people rushing to get out and leave in this crisis.I would LOVE to do this-- When I was in the City Hall today and asked if I could be of any help-- but there seems to be a lot of people that have volunteered for helping out in town already. So they said if they needed help with translating they would call me. So far they only need Chinese translators in my area, though

Oh my gosh, I don't even know what to say. It's so surreal, because I feel like I was just there, and I can picture your street and the buildings and the grocery store and the train station and it's just...heartbreaking trying to fathom what has happened to everything.
But I'm so so so glad that you and Keita and your friends are safe and that things where you are seem to be relatively all right.
