I'm hooked

Gotta say I've had a pretty exciting month. Having Paula for a week was awesome, especially when 5 out of the 9 days she was here, we were in cosplay. ( First we had Hamacon. )

Good to know that the past month has been so productive for you XD Hamacon looked pretty cool, sorry I couldn't join you all there, but hey, Japan worked out like it did.

I think you are now officially ahead of me on Den-O now, seeing as how I'm still in the 20s, but then again, I've been working through Beck again since I got the DVDs for it (and trying to actually finish it this time), so I blame my interests being all over the place at the moment ^^;

I've heard mixed things about Kabuto. Some think it's good and others call it more of a tournament show, although I personally haven't seen it so I can't tell you one way or the other what I think. I DO however have the Imagin Anime for Den-O, Hibiki, and Agito if you'd be interested in those. My weekend in Tuscaloosa proved very productive in terms of tokusatsu offerings :D I'd offer more sentai to you, except that you said it didn't interest you as much. Either way, I do have stuff available if you'd like me to get it to you before you have to head out again.

I'd recommend giving Hamacon a try in the future. If it can manage to grow over the next few years, I expect it'll turn into a nice local con. The staff was certainly very dedicated to providing for the fans, and that's what I like to see.

Yup! I'm on 37 of Den-O and 35 of W. But I think I like W just a bit more. It's probably the bromance. Hahahah. XDD

All I really know is that I want to hold off on Decade until I've seen more of the earlier ones. I'm sure I'll get around to those eventually if not next, so please pass them off to me! :D I might be convinced to like sentai, but right now I'm not feeling grasped by it the same way I am kamen rider.

Well, seeing as how I'll be around at least another year, I definitely give it a shot once it rolls around again.

W is awesomely amazing, glad I could help you out with getting it X3 And I wouldn't put it passed you if that was the reason, although I'd argue that seeing as how the Shoutarou and Phillip aren't wimpy like Ryoutarou in the beginning is probably a factor as to why I like it more. But that's me.

Having watched Decade and then going back and watching Den-O and the others (at least they're on my "to watch" list), I can say that while you don't need to know what the other KRs about, it probably would up the coolness factor tremendously. I'll be sure to pass them off to you next time we get together.

And that's understandable, really. Kamen Rider stories are generally more compelling than Sentai, and seeing as how Kamen Rider generally rotates around fewer characters in the main cast, it has an easier time of fleshing them out than does Sentai.

Are you thinking of going back to Japan after you finish school, or do you have any plans at all for after graduation?

Den-O is a more happy-go-lucky, which is super fun, but I feel more invested in the characters of W, which makes me like it more. And despite how much I joke about it, it's not just the bromance. Ryoutarou's natural wimpy-ness as compared to Shoutarou and Phillip might have something to do with it, but really I find W's whole concept much more compelling and the world more solidly constructed. Love em both to death, I just love W more. So thanks for hooking me up! XD

Sentai for me was boarderline bad enough to be good again. I haven't passed judgment on it yet, but I'd need to be in the right kind of mood to continue with more episodes.
If you happen to have Ultraman Mebius, however, it has Watanabe Daisuke as a ladies man who does the tango, and I'd love to see it. XD;

LOL, Juliet as a Sentai Ranger~

Well, looks like I should work on finishing up Den-O, huh? Any chance I could get you to show me other Kamen Rider series later after we get to Japan? XD

I kept waiting for him to pull out a knife and stab his brother for making out with his boyfriend or something. ^^; It's worth seeing a couple episodes at least, just for Juliet.

Yes, I think you should! I have it all, if you want to wait until Japan to watch it. Though if you're like me, then if you watch enough to get to Urataros (or better yet Ryuutaros) then you'll already be hooked. It's a lot of fun~. But holy hot damn I am SO going to be showing you Kamen Rider W. That's the one that really got me obsessed. X3 ♥

I may make my way through Den-O on my own, since I've at least got that series here. But I'd love to watch any other serieses you want to recommend, like W! :D And if it's got the guys in your icon in it, I have about 10 articles with them in my various magazines. XD Kiriyama Renn's one of them, right?

Well, let me know how you like it. I'm thinking that I'd like to try cosplaying as the demon form of Ryuutaros once I get better and can figure out what sorts of materials they use. :o
Hopefully, the other KRs that I watch will be equally worth sharing. And yes! W is the one with Kiriyama Renn bromancing it up as a "half-boiled" detective superhero!
