Title: Supply Closet
Pairing: Doumeki/Watanuki, Touya/Yukito, brief Kurogane/Fay mention (Characters by CLAMP)
Warnings: None
Notes: Part of my high school AU, like 'Sucker'. This is pure silliness.
“Now then,” said the principal as he slid behind his desk and sat down, “let’s begin. I found you two…” he got no further when the door burst open, and a tall woman strode into the room.
“What’s going on?”
“Oh. Ichihara. Just a little matter I’m taking care of. You needn’t trouble yourself.”
“But, Reed, you have my favourite student here. I can’t just walk away.” She put a hand on Watanuki’s shoulder. Watanuki did not look pleased. “Besides, I don’t think Tsukishiro here has ever been in trouble before.”
“Well, this is…”
“This is not what you think it is! We were cleaning up and…”
“Now, now, Watanuki, I saw you two.” Reed raised a hand to quell more protests. Watanuki sputtered and Tsukishiro simply waited. Reed straightened some papers on his desk, looked over them at the boys. “While the gym is used for recreational activities, boys, some things are prohibited.”
“We were cleaning up! Sohi-sensei asked us to put away the equipment, but…”
“Come now, Watanuki. I’m not saying what you did was wrong. It’s simply not appropriate on school grounds.”
“Not appropriate?” Ichihara smiled at Watanuki. “Up to no good?”
“No!”
“Watanuki and Tsukishiro were in the equipment closet…”
“Putting things away…”
“…on the floor…"
“Tsukishiro-kun fell and…”
“With Watanuki on top of Tsukishiro…”
“I tried to help him up! That closet is a disaster!”
“…in what was clearly a compromising position.”
Ichihara began to laugh. Watanuki glared, and Tsukishiro looked at her uncertainly. “Oh, Reed, come on. Don’t you know that if these boys were going to do such a thing in the supply closet, it wouldn’t be with each other?”
“What do you mean?”
“It was an accident. Tsukishiro here is involved with Kinomoto Touya, and come to think of it, they probably wouldn’t do such a thing. On the other hand, if you told me you found Doumeki and Watanuki in the supply closet…”
“What?!”
“…I’d believe it. I’ve always thought of Doumeki as the type who’d be ready to go anywhere.” Watanuki had turned a violent shade of red, bordering on purple, and Tsukishiro’s eyes were closed, as though willing the situation to go away. Reed sighed.
“Alright. If Ichihara says you two are telling the truth, I suppose you are. You’re free to go.” Watanuki stormed off, and after a moment of uncertainty, Tsukishiro followed suit.
Laughing, Ichihara sat on a corner of Reed’s desk. “You don’t know anything, do you?”
“I,” he said, peering at her over his glasses, “don’t have time to keep track of every relationship here.”
“You’re missing out. Why, even Sohi-sensei’s boy has finally made a move on someone. And the teachers here…” she trailed off, smiling evilly.
“The teachers? Who? Kusanagi? Sakurazuka?” He studied Ichihara. “You?”
“I’m not that stupid.”
Reed sighed. “I suppose not. You’re too infuriating.” He turned away, looked out the window. He felt arms close around his neck, silky black hair fall against his cheek. “Sometimes, watching over people’s ties is a real nuisance.”
“Sometimes. But it’s also very rewarding. Why, I’m especially proud of Doumeki and Watanuki. And if I hadn’t let Fluorite have that candy…” she giggled, and Reed felt her breath tickle his ear.
“I’m glad you enjoy your job.”
“I usually do. We are the force for good, after all.” She held him a little tighter. Despite himself, Reed reached up and clasped her hands in his. “But,” Ichihara said thoughtfully, “I wish the students didn’t have this silly notion that we’re just old perverts.”
This time, Reed laughed. “Oh, come, now who’s the one who doesn’t really know what’s going on?” They both laughed, and a cold shiver ran up the spines of every student on campus.

“…and then, she said she thought of you as the type who’d be ready to go anywhere.”
“Mmm.”
“What do you mean mmm?”
“Do you want to?”
“What?!”
“In the closet?”
Watanuki yelled the whole way home.
