MacBook Pro stolen

A short while ago (about an hour), deitrich's back pack was stolen at the Diesel. Among other things it contained a 13" MacBook Pro (early 2011). The serial number is C02FTC2DDH2H, so if anyone tries to sell you a machine with this serial number please respond to this post. Crap! Do they have surveillance cameras there? They ought to with as many electronics get stolen. Hope you get it back.

Seems somewhat unlikely (haven't been in this situation before, so maybe I am wrong.

That sucks enormously. I hope the backpack is found, with stuff intact, in short order. Does Diesel know there's a thief hanging out there?

Is her data backed up anywhere, or are there a lot of unrecoverable files on it?

Thanks, I hope so as well. Data wasn't backed up as well as it could have been. That will be fixed today..

Keep an eye on CL - don't know about there, but here that's where a lot of stolen gear turns up.
