Prologue-
Donghae looks at himself through the fogged mirror, rubbing his right arm as if he can clean off what painted on it, a red mark that soon will be a bruise, a dark big ugly bruise.
After a moment, he notices how stupid his action was. He slumps down under the steaming shower and cries silently.
He has to wear long sleeved shirt for the next few days to cover up the bruise. He doesn’t want anyone to notice and throws glares, accusing him with questions. Not from the members, let alone from the public.
He doesn’t want Sungmin to confront him with angry glare. He doesn’t want Leeteuk to ask. He doesn’t want to voice out a lie that no one will buy. Not if everyone knew that it was lie.
Donghae knows that everyone knows he was lying.
But, Donghae is not completely lying. At least he doesn’t lie when he says he's alright. He is alright.
“What is alright if you always have new bruise everyday, Donghae?” He remembers Sungmin said one day, when the older man hears Hyukjae's scream and Donghae was whimpering in fear. “He hit you on the face! Make up noona can’t even hide it with make up!”
“I’m alright. He didn’t do it on purpose,” Donghae had smiled to the older weakly, winced in pain when Sungmin stabbing his face with alcohol-drenched-cotton.
“Did he even apologize?” Sungmin said coldly, knew that the younger can’t answer his question, because yes, Hyukjae never apologize.
Hyukjae never apologize but Donghae will always forgive him, because he loves him. And Donghae knew Hyukjae love him too.
