Woe is my car

My car is overdue for an annual service¹ and it's been roughly 12.5K miles since the last one, which coincidentally is the recommended service interval (despite what the odometer thinks). It's just coming up to 75K miles.

Hello - are you a Cambridge person?

I use AutoKare who did a whole load of work on my Citroen Xsara yesterday, including replacing the clutch (which I think was about £400).

They're good, honest, and explain to you what they're doing and what they've done (they show you the parts they took out and what went wrong with them).

They also told me that the full service I'm due for would cost "About £200", so it sounds like they're about half price compared to what you're being quoted.

Other place, I'm afraid. However, that's interesting about the clutch. A bit later I'll be phoning the garage that did my Saxo's clutch for £250 a while back to see what they say.

P.Bruno (formerly at the Old Swan, now at Eynsham) did the !fuelpump (something to do with injectors?) work. And they collect and deposit the car, if that helps. :)
