A Great and Melodramatic Conflict.

I almost got driven from my room by a moth last night. I don't mean in the "Ew, there's an insect in my general vicinity! *shrieks and flees*" sense. Nope, I'm not one to freak out over bugs. I find them fascinating, often pretty, I've had pet crickets, pet snakes-who-eat-crickets (erm... not at the same time), and I'm pretty much the go-to person ( Read more... )

animals, randomness, why yes i am feeling melodramatic, rant

Pwa-ha-HA! This rocked my afternoon so much! I laughed so hard while reading that Madeline told me I sounded like an inebriated and asthmatic donkey. ;) Props to you my friend.

In reality, we all know that your arch-Nemesis is going back to the drawing board in a dank lair someplace because the assassin moth plan totally failed. Time to drag up the next scheme...

Hehee. Glad I could give you a good laugh! ;D It wasn't fun at the time, certainly, but it's really rather hilarious in hindsight.

Pfft, I know. The new-and-improved evol plot is likely to yet-unimagined horrors. Possibly including, but not limited to, teams of assault spiders rappelling down from the ceiling, and swarms of kamikaze mosquitoes orchestrating synchronized dive-bombings. Or possibly it'll look more like today's Non Sequitur comic. Apparently I'm not alone in my experiences. It really is a plot, I tell you. And evil, evil plot....

I just googled "Moth that sounds like a bee" and your post came up, and No Joke- I am having the exact same thing happen to me right at this moment. I can't find it!! Where did it go?? I thought it was no big deal being in the house while I was watching TV, but every time I try to sleep, its buzzing somewhere and I shoot right up to catch it but it disappears! Agh, I'm freaked out and just want to sleep. :( What the heck are these things??

I have no idea what it actually is. I wish I knew what type it was. Aside from "evil" and "assassin sent to kill me," that is. Heh. I wish I could give you some good advice beyond "flee for your life", but unfortunately I never did figure out a good way to catch/kill the things.

Best of luck to you in dealing with it. I hope it manages to go concuss itself quietly somewhere so you can get some sleep. :/
