I love to EAT cupcakes (if they're not some bizarre "trendy" flavor combo like basil ghost pepper mango maple :P) but they're too fiddly to mess with making. I'd much rather bake a cake, even a layer cake, than mess with filling all the cupcake openings and then trying to clean the pan after (it's really the "trying to clean the pan" after that gets me. I am... not a fan of anything even remotely fussy to clean). So I stick to simply buying a cupcake while I'm out if I see one in flavor combos I don't mind trying (you know, NORMAL combos like lemon-blueberry or chocolate-chocolate-chocolate ( ... )

LOL, yes - some of the trendy new combos are surprisingly good, but others are just... emperor's new clothes level weird. (Also, chocolate-chocolate-chocolate = most normal flavor in the world, should be default for everything.)

We actually tried an Airbnb-style rental for the first time this last fall when we had a big group together (Scarvenartist's husband was with our dad and brothers wilderness camping, so we were all staying by Lake Superior while they were away, then they stayed with us when they got back.) It was really, really nice - SO much more opportunity to spend time together comfortably than in a hotel, especially traveling with a toddler who really benefitted from good naps and quiet downtimes in between activities. I do worry a bit about all of the stories coming home about creeper owners videoing guests, though, heh.

So I stick to the log-flume/raft type rides which by their nature can't flip you upside down.Truth! Though, I mean... if those ones DO flip upside down, you've got significantly greater concerns than ( ... )
