[Ever since he got his crystal back, Yuan's been feeling a lot safer about going out. In fact, now that his housemates are gone, he can't stand to stay cooped up inside for too long either. Things are just too quiet.
He's aware there's an experiment going on; the chaos on the journals had already tipped him off. Still, Yuan hadn't figured out yet exactly how it works. That's why he wasn't expecting Martel, or anyone who looks like her, to be wandering through the village. As soon as he spots that familiar head of green hair, he stops in his tracks, all sorts of thoughts racing through his head.
Is the New Feather cycle still going on? No, don't be ridiculous, it can't be. ... But she looks just like her.]

[Mithos is so lost in a torrent of thoughts - all concerning Martel, many concerning how much he wishes she could be here in reality - that he almost fails to notice Yuan standing there.
Almost.
He is the exact last person Mithos wants to run into, especially while appearing as Martel. It's purely blasphemous for Yuan to be in the presence of his sister, even if it isn't actually her. And of course he is still very much sore over their previous encounter. His wing has healed, his pride has not.
Mithos makes the split decision to subtly change direction in an effort to circumvent the highly undesirable encounter.]
[Before Yuan can even fully get a grasp on the situation, the woman's already turned to leave. He frowns at that. She did notice him, didn't she? Didn't she recognize him? Or is that precisely why she's avoiding him? Then again, it may not even be her at all. Why is he even thinking like that?
He hesitates for a moment, then decides to stride after her. He has to know who this woman is.]

[Something about Yuan's voice lights a fuse in him. It's the principle of it: him speaking to Martel.
Mithos halts and whirls around. The look of cold ire probably looks strange on Martel's face; the sharp words sound equally strange hissed in her voice.]
