History: Her family has lived in Kyoto for generations, and her grandmother had traced their clan back to samurai before the battle of Sekigahara in the Edo period who were completely loyal to Tokugawa Ieyasu, though Imari and her parents don't care all that much. To them, the past is the past and any association with the very old days of Japan don't matter in the long run, especially with the government as such. Beside that, their "exalted past" doesn't bring them any fame or fortune, so it matters little. Imari herself was born at the public hospital, but not taken home until several weeks later due to complications with her birth. Complications that caused a worse hospital bill, one of the Ozawa family was unable to pay without taking out a huge loan.
Hence their lack of money as Imari was growing up. During her young school years, she was able to ignore the fact that her family couldn't buy her new clothes, only the school uniform that was required because the other little kids didn't notice. She was a little quiet in school, with few real friends but many imaginary ones, most notably "Keiko" whom she imagined had bright blue hair and purple eyes. Still, she was never an outcast, just quiet and a fringe-hanger.
Until Junior High. That was when things like social class began to be apparent and she was suddenly being made fun of for her lack of stylish clothes and even the fact that she only brought simple food to lunch, compared to everyone else's. Girls that had been her friend just the year before were suddenly too good to talk to her. This was a huge blow to Imari, who retreated into her own little world for the next year, finding her imaginary friends to be better company than those girls. The summer between her 8th and 9th grade year though, things changed. One of the high school girls in her neighborhood, Katei, noting that she was pretty and probably suseptible to such things, gave her a cell phone and offered to help her get money by accompanying older men on dates. For a small percentage of the profit, of course.
That was Imari's first foray into the underworld of Kyoto, as a girl taking part in enjo kōsai, or "compensated dating." The first several men she dated asked for nothing more than her company but soon they began to ask for a little bit more, until her dates mostly ended up with full-out sex. At first she disliked her job, but as she began to make even more money she grew to actually enjoy it. Soon she was able to pay off her small debt to Katei and buy her own phone and find her own customers, though the two remained good friends.
That wasn't the end of her deviancy. Armed with a fake id just after her 17th birthday, Imari signed a contract to appear as an extra in a series of three fetish films. Though she was never naked and was never shown having sex on camera, she was still a part of it, and was approached by other filmmakers wishing to use her in their own films. She declined the offer, finding it easier to hide her dating than her acting from her parents and family.
She knew, however, that she wouldn't be able to do that forever and took time off to study for her high school entrance exam, just barely making the mark to attend Toyotomi High School. Once she was accepted, the enjo kōsai continued, and she was able to buy things like the latest cell phone, the trendiest clothes, internet, and even whatever lunch she felt like ordering in. She wasn't popular, but she wasn't mocked about her family anymore, as everyone thought her parents were the ones making the money, not her.
Imari also has a few other strange hobbies, including a serious love of anime, so long as the show isn't made for young children. This had led her to cosplay, and upon turning 18, she plans on returning to making movies, hoping to do a few catering to the cosplay fetish crowd, as she finds that to be the most fun when it comes to sexual deviancy.
Her parents however, know nothing of this, and believe her income is from a job at the local noodle shop.
Appearance: Imari is a pretty enough girl, though far from being the most beautiful girl in the class. She's good with her makeup though and is noted for having a very sweet face, though often compared to that of a doll. She takes good care of herself, keeping her weight down to a good match with her average height of 5'2" and eats healthily. No junk food for her. She dresses fairly casually on normal occasions, often in a cute skirt and top, though she does have a very extensive wardrobe with many name brand outfits as well as a few ...stranger outfits, in PVC and leather. She also owns several costumes of her favorite anime characters, for use during the conventions she attends annually in Tokyo.
Personality INCLUDING three strengths and weaknesses: Imari's not the quiet girl anymore. She is known for her extremely short temper though and has surprised many fellow students when she, the wallflower, picked a fight with someone because she didn't like what they said about her or one of her few friends. She has a deep-seeded inferiorty complex when it comes to school, and has often dreamed of dropping and possibly beating up several of the people as she left. She doesn't like people, and that includes most of her classmates. Though to her friends, she is loyal and will stand up for them.
Strengths-
Athletic - She plays tennis and could run track, if she wished to.
Street smarts - She's not very booksmart, but she does know her way around the streets and how to defend herself.
Connections - She's slept with many of Kyoto's politicians, and several of them would do anything for her.
Weaknesses-
Slightly neurotic - She has a serious issue with her classmates, stemming from the abandonment in junior high.
Secretive - She doesn't want anyone outside her closest friends knowing about her movies or her dating.
Tempermental - She is easily offended by anyone outside of her social circle and doesn't hesitate to let them know, be it with words or fists.
Overnight Bag: Change of clothes (dark grey skirt, black tank top, boots, and a red leather jacket), notebook, pencils, her cell phone, a polaroid camera, the newest edition of her favorite manga, asprin, condoms-- just in case, of course.
Father - Daiki Ozawa: Jobless bum, home all the time. Despite his unemployment, he's not a bad man and he shares a strong relationship with his daughter. He dreams of winning the lottery and taking Imari and Chiyo far away from their poverty. He also doesn't know about Imari's practice of enjo kōsai, as that is really the only thing she keeps from him.
Mother - Chiyo Ozawa: Waitress at the "Kitsune Klub", a small club in the inner city of Kyoto catering to the lower class crowd. She's not home very much, but honestly tries to make ends meet for her small family.
Siblings - None
Extra-Curricular Activites: She plays tennis for the school, but that's about it. Her life revolves more around her out of school activities. Tennis practice takes up enough of her free time that she has chosen not to do anything else, though she was asked to join the track team as well. Instead she concentrates on making money to buy her expensive clothes, so that she won't look poor to her classmates.
Classroom Behaviour: "Ms. Ozawa is a smart enough girl, though she has a severe issue with her anger. Even the smallest comments can set her off-- but luckily just a small bit of intervention from a teacher or one of her friends can calm her down again. Otherwise, she is a pleasure to have in class."

Takuma Kikimaru- Oh, the relationship-- or lack thereof, that they have. While neither of them remember much about it, the two had a night of rough and wild sex. They each know the other has ties to the underground of Kyoto, but they haven't actually knowingly spoken. Imari's attracted to him though...but far from ever admitting it to anyone even herself. Every time she sees him out of school, they're usually in places it's not cool to stop and talk in...and of course during school she can't let anyone know about her secret life.

Hayato Fushida- Hayato has been known to seriously get on Imari's nerves...nevertheless, she considers him a friend, mostly because of their mutual friends. He's always friendly and talkative to her..but she'll let him know when she wants him to back off. Does he? Sometimes.
Masayuki Fujimura- Masayuki is one of Imari's few real friends, and one of the only few people that know about her participation in enjo kōsai. He thinks nothing of it, and she thinks nothing of his various alternative lifestyle choices. She thinks of him as one of her best friends, and goes out of her way to defend him if things get particularily nasty. She knows he definitely doesn't need to be defended, but she chooses to anyway.

Nozomi Kadokawa- While Imari's a bitch, she's not a bully, and therefore doesn't approve of Nozomi's actions. The two of them have never had an altercation themselves, but Nozomi is one of the girls that she wouldn't mind punching out if the chance came around. What Imari doesn't know is that Nozomi knows she does something and wants to know what it is. Nozomi tries to befriend her, even tries intimidation, all trying to figure out what exactly it is that Imari does in her spare time. Hmm...if only Nozomi would ask her cousin.
Shizuki Kunai- Shizuki has blue hair. "Keiko" has blue hair. Therefore, Shizuki is automatically okay in Imari's book. They're not friends, but Shizuki never fails to wave to Imari in the hallway.

Minami Satsuya- While the two aren't friends by any means, since Minami is quite nice and polite, Imari doesn't mind her at all, and even says hello when she sees her.
Midori Sato- What girl who grew up with nothing would ignore the girl who buys friends? Not Imari, that's for sure. She and Midori seem rather close...but Imari's nowhere near stupid enough to tell the girl anything secret, especially not about enjo kōsai. Midori's not above snooping on her friend though...

Remiyu Yazawa- When Imari first met SAI, she thought she was probably the weirdest person in the world. ...Of course, that's not too far from the truth. Still, she found her tolerable, until the day SAI stole one of her newly bought necklaces in PE, and never ade any sign of being sorry for what she did. Imari doesn't pick on SAI, but she certainly stays away from her now.
