I am sooooo looking forward to seeing you at Wiscon. All the amazing new stuff you've got is just a huge added bonus on top.

Catherine!!! *hugs*

I *love* the grisaille stuff you'd been posting! (and this fish! I wish I could snatch it from you! :P :P)

Sometimes it's the procrastination on side projects that help one figure out where you want to go with a piece, too. ^_^

I'm *REALLY* looking forward to the armless maiden panels! I think they are an awesome project and you are going to have so much fun with them. ^_^

(have you thought about putting a gallery portfolio together for this new process and shopping it around a bit? You might have some better luck selling them at their price point?)

Thanks so much Jane! I am trembling about the Armless maiden panels - and trying to tell myself that if they don't work out like I planned - I can do them again (and again!) till I get it right!

And you are right - side projects often are just what we need to get over a creative block in the procrastinated pieces!

Looking forward to seeing you all soon!

*Hugs* back!

That's truly gorgeous! Beautiful use of the foil, too. :)

I, too, have a couple of panels that are designed but not yet implemented; mostly, I haven't been able to figure out how to frame or set them after they're done. It wants to be a reversible piece, but I think trying to do cloisonne on 2 sides is Asking For Trouble... plus there'd still be the setting problem. Dunno yet even if it's 1-2 pendants or a framed piece...

Thanks!

Would you mind sharing the design? You can see the designs for my armless maiden panels here: http://imagocorvi.livejournal.com/1999.html

Cloisonne on two sides would indeed be asking for trouble - but cloisonne on one side and champleve on the other might be do-able (not easy but do-able!)

I also put these panels off becasue I couldn't figure out how to frame them. And now I have deciede that actually seeing them might help me make that decision ;-)

I did get three layers done on two of my panels on Sunday - and I am not entirely unhappy ... so it's a start!
