I've dwelt on that idea in the past, too, and I notice that many people see it differently because they're looking at different levels, or at one specific thing... and basing their determination on that one thing. If IT changes, things change, if not, it things do not. At the smallest level, things constantly change. At the largest, nothing changes because everything is always there (granted, in different shapes, but material is never created or destroyed at the most base level).

So at the largest level change is constant, hence the only constant is still change. ;)
