Hi. I'm not dead. My anemia is really bad again. (My iron saturation is below 3%.) So I am seeing specialists and having a dozen unpleasant diagnostic tests. So. There's that. Walking up stairs makes me come close to passing out. I see a new hematologist tomorrow. (My old one retired.) I expect they'll give me IV iron again. Meanwhile gastro is ( Read more... )

Also not dead, also been watching LBD. Wondering which things they did that you will never be on board with :)

I think my biggest issue was the way the fall out from Lydia's tape and the whole Domino arc were handled. It didn't seem very well plotted and I really hated the way Darcy treated GiGi like a child. I have a much younger brother and have taken care of him since he was a little kid and our mother was dying. So I get wanting to protect your siblings. But UGH. White dude with a check book magically solving problems? It didn't seem to fit with the rest of the modernization at all. For a show that empowered women so well--they really dropped the ball there. I can think of a dozen other options that would have worked better and not been so obnoxious or boring ( ... )

It was so fun to have the collective watching experience! What they're doing with this format is brand new and so I'm willing to forgive a lot. I think they've learned a whole lot and I'm looking forward to what they do next. :D

I'm sorry you're still feeling down about David's traveling and that your doctors still haven't figured out what's going on (AND that you have to re-do those tests!). *HUGS YOU*

Re: Easter, I found out on Sunday morning that my Nana used to hide the entire Easter basket for my mother and aunts. One time she hid the basket(s?) in the washing machine! Glad David was able to make you laugh :)

My parents always hid the entire basket too. Isn't that what everyone does?

Not to my knowledge. My parents only hide the eggs. Our baskets are always at our seats at the table.

I never got colored eggs (because I was allergic.) But my mom always hid my whole basket. It was shaped like a rabbit.

One year we were in Florida to take care of my step dad's very sick alcoholic mother. They hid my basket in the liquor cabinet. Even at age 11 I thought that was ironic and hilarious.
