So apparently I still have no place to live next year.

Why is it that the one time my phone rang today, it was the stupid FIDO survey person who wouldn't take no for an answer when I told him no, I didn't want his promotion?

I always advise people to hang up on telemarketers. Too bad I feel bad for the poor bastards who are paid to do this shit. Why do I feel bad for them? They're being PAID.

You have no place to live? Gyuk! You will! You will marry Fabian and he will take you as his bride in a new hearth and you will conduct a secret love affair with his best friend best friend's dog. Or something.

Why is this comment longer than the actual entry?

Won't be living with Fabian because he said his parents are somewhat not comfortable with the idea of him moving in with a girl.

Balls. You should be in by second semester, but... hmmm. Are any of the rest of the gang not in residence?

second semester doesn't help me if I'm going to need somewhere to live for first semester.. Andrew and Moriah got res and Daniela's going to China. Swati didn't get res either, and neither did my friend Madeline.

Yeah, I prefer to say no to telemarketers rather than hang up on them. They're paid, but probably not that much, and they have to deal with people treating them like shit all day long. But if they won't take no for an answer, you should hang up at that point. It's not worth your time, and frankly, since they may only get paid for people who take the survey, you're probably wasting his time too to stay on the line when you're not ultimately going to take the survey.

I did take his survey. I felt bad for him. So because I took the survey, he offered me a promotion I didn't want to take because it involved a two year contract, which I don't want because I might be going abroad at some point, which is why I didn't get a contract in the first place, and he got super irritated and kept offering me more things for the promotion if I would take it from him. Which pissed me off because I did his stupid question!

That's pretty bad form. Telemarketers who take it as a personal insult are obscene.
