I know that missing one problem on a math test should not be a big deal (considering most of my tests during seventh grade Algebra 1 had many, many more wrong than that), but it really put a damper on my day.

You don't like socratic seminars?!
I utterly enjoyed them last year.
But then, it was very loose and we didn't have to fill out paperwork and it was basically just us arguing with each other about specific topics.
Are yours strict? Because when they're strict they're no fun.

everyone says the same thing over and over, and everyone speaks in a monotone.
they bore me to death and I don't like them at all.
and they shouldn't be strict, but people think they'll get bonus points if they talk and talk and talk.

Ours are always filled with passionate arguing and, on occasion, raised voices and extreme examples ("Bang your dead! All your rights are now gone!"). Very interesting to just listen to, you can see who really cares about what.
We had some people who would repeat the same thing over again and talk and talk and talk (to filibuster) but Hall usually got them to shut up because the rest of the class wanted to attack the stupid person's mindless blathering.
