Stupid Cat!
So there I was, happily watching Countdown and talking on msn.  The cat kept miowing, but she usually does that for an hour or two before she's fed (she gets fed her tea at the same time every day, she isn't psychic or something).  I figured that she'd either shut up or go away.. a reasonable thing to think, so I ignored her.

hmm, maybe single beds are a different size in the country that made pillows? or maybe they just like making awkward size pillows because if we had the perfect pillow- who would wake up!?

I reckon its because pillows are exactly wide enough to fit two side-by-side on a double bed... and pillow makers cant be arsed to make two sizes (that costs more and takes effort :P)

...and of course, no-one wants to make single beds any narrower (or else like you said, you couldnt fit two people in comfortably).

You see I like a little bit of space on the bed next to the pillow to keep stuff there...usually retainer box (eugh!) and remote control for alarm but also books u are reading and notes reminding you of stuff 4 2morrow and here in China my phone so I can see what time it is when i wake up (there is no clock in bedroom, sadly!) anways, u get the point...plus, if they fitted the bed exactly, a slight movement could send it over the edge!
