Considering that it had only been soaked for an hour and a half at the most, I would say that was a very good rum cake. If I remember correctly, a "proper" rum cake is soaked for a few weeks at the very least.

It was adequate enough for me. I say we repeat the process another day, if it would not be too much trouble for you.

I think when you use the amount of rum we used on the cake, then it doesn't matter how long it soaks. And yes, I think I can make an evening and squeeze you in. Maybe. If I have time.
