That was perfect English, I'll have you know! However, to put it in the simplest terms possible - they've got a device that triggers infatuation amongst some of the inhabitants. Certain things seem to activate it more so than others - namely that wine from the fountain. You haven't been affected at all, have you? Though I doubt you'd actually know it if you were.

As all right as one can do trapped in an untraceable spot for an extended length of time. Haven't slept much the last couple of nights, actually.
