After tasting that…’wine’ going around, he’s been feeling rather airy, loopy, despite the fact he’s unaware of just how much he’s been affected by it. While he’d normally be in a state of panic after having been stuck in one spot for nearly half a ( Read more... )

There was no other tastes to it, nothing off about it, for you?

Well I felt a little tingly too.

What sort of 'tingly'? Warm 'tingly' or some other sort?

Oh- well, what doesn't affect people, then?

I'd assume the rest of the place is pretty much normal...or what passes for normal around here, at any rate.

As for the flowers, whoever gets one ends up kissing the person who gave it.

Does that happen each time, no matter the person or circumstance? [Is now trying to figure out a correlation between flowers and the urge to kiss someone.]

That was perfect English, I'll have you know! However, to put it in the simplest terms possible - they've got a device that triggers infatuation amongst some of the inhabitants. Certain things seem to activate it more so than others - namely that wine from the fountain. You haven't been affected at all, have you? Though I doubt you'd actually know it if you were.

I won't leave you alone, either.

At least you're up there! That's a lot more than could be said for some others.

[Private]

Didn't think you would. [Laughs softly.]

I know, I'm glad I made it there at all.

You're doing all right?

Jack, I'm pretty sure we've been over this before. How long have I known you?

[Private]
As all right as one can do trapped in an untraceable spot for an extended length of time. Haven't slept much the last couple of nights, actually. A stuck Time Lord tends to be prone to horrid nightmares. [This comes out airily, as if he's talking about the happiest thing in the universe.] What about you?
