Room 326: Monday Evening

Ed wasn't sure where his roommate had gone, but he'd taken sleeping bags and pillows from the room so Edward figured he was gone for the night.

Which might have been the cue for some people to be loud or play music.  Edward, however, pulled out the alchemy books he'd taken back from Al and his notebook and began to try again to figure out why

How Bart managed to get lost in a relatively small building such as this, no one would ever know, but he did it somehow.

And the running around wasn't helping either.

That thump? Bart hitting the door. "Ow."

"But what about things that don't want to be changed?"

"...inanimate objects don't have opinions," Edward pointed out.

"They could," Bart shot back. "You never know."

Which would make running through them really horrible. What if he had been making things upset all week? What if they all got together to hunt him down? "I don't want my lamp to kill me!"

"They can't think! Where would they keep their brain?" Ed snapped. "You have to have a brain to think! And why the heck would your lamp kill you? It can't move."

"What if it could? You can't know for sure!"

"Sure you can know for sure," Edward said. "You can study its form and and structure and predict how it will respond - or not respond."
