Clingy Words

I've known for a while about the word "trove", which seems inextricably tied to treasure. I mean, what other type of trove is there? Recently, I was reminded of the word "knell", who turns out to be a might bit moribund, itself (I think that's funny, perhaps people with sharper vocabularies can confirm). Maybe this is just a US thing, but there are things other than interests that can be "vested". Like stock options.

There are a number of words in that list of whose one-trick-ness I am doubtful, but the list as a whole is pretty good.

Linked from there is the Untruisms, of which my favorite is this: "The sentence "I am armed to the teeth" is an untruism whenever it is pronounced correctly. If it were true, it would be pronounced "Eye ar arrr kaar keef"."
