Why would anyone destroy a library?

Certain creatures possess a completely senseless destructive compulsion, and turned the Library into a giant hole.

I have not seen you before, miss. Are you a new passenger, per chance?

... Sounds like someone I know. No appreciation for books or knowledge.

Yeah, I just got here. Though I'm still really unclear as to how.

My name is Sakura! Sorry if I was intruding on anything.

Ah, pleased to meet you, miss Sakura.

No one understands how or why they are brought into this ship. But it is clear there is no way out. However, passengers tend to disappear.

Perhaps he is, I am not certain.
[His eyes narrow at the image] Another new passenger?

Ah, a Scientist. That is quite unusual... May I ask what sort of research you conduct?

So ~ . . .

Didja jump ship yet?

Yes. It surprises me to see that entertained tone in your voice, especially before a situation like this.

Awww, look at you. What's the matter, Zexion?

Oh, you must miss your library... [Huge, exaggerated pout.]

It almost sounds as if you knew more than what you comment. Are you, somehow related to what happened to the Library?

Ah... this may sound naive, but what information was available in the library before its destruction? When I passed through there, all of the books that I picked up were made of a strange material and the pages completely blank.

[Link's never seen holobooks before.]

Some of them were, others were novels from different planets and cultures. However, I would never judge a book by its first pages.

The books that I picked up were blank, beginning to end. Considering the rest of the technology I've seen here, perhaps they needed to be activated in some way. Unless there was a section of paper books as well?

They are called holographic books. As you guessed, they are not meant to be treated like regular ones.

No, only the holobooks exist in this Library.

[smilesmile, etc. He had been needing you for something, so good job with the timing.] Ah, you survived also!

Deep in the forest, a lethal gas is secreted. What can your senses perceive in regards to the compound?

[Zexion's apathetic stare welcomes Neuro's smile ]

Doubtlessly.

I heard it almost annihilates Axel... but if I approached too much, it could result dangerous. However, I do not think a small sample would be mortal. Perhaps... something could be done.

[Hm, so even your acute sense of smell has limitations. Unfortunate, but not problematic.] I'll have my slave gather the samples at once. You will provide the analysis afterwards.

Excellent. The question is, who is your slave?
