Day/Video/Not Deaging

[On the peak of Demonreach, an island off the coast of the City, there's a visible plume of smoke curling up from the even further decimated ruins of the lighthouse and the completely wrecked splinters of the hut. Just visible over the edge of the cliff, the crumbled form of a Decepticon is laying eerily still.

Harry's face swings into view.]

[This. Is. Beautiful. Amazing ...He wanted to take him out, glitch it.

...an opportunity.]

Capable of assisting.

Request: coordinates? [Not that he's not working to get them if they aren't provided.]

Can you help him?

Yes.

[And since he is curious...] Query. Source of damage?

[...

Rinzler knew this user had... some kind of area distortion effect. But this kind of damage...]

Inorganic. Request: distance during attempted assistance.

Repeat query: coordinates?

[He's already flying towards the ocean, though, lightjet a dark streak through the sky. This is too good an opportunity to miss.]

Yeah, I can keep some distance. I'm on an island off the coast. Look for a lighthouse and some smoke.

[Rinzler's fast. Especially in a jet. A matter of micros later, he drops in, jet derezzing around as he falls, comes up in a roll. He takes care to land on the far side of Soundwave from the user, and nod in greeting as he stands from the crouch. Rinzler's here because you invited him, user. No need for misunderstandings.

Or, well, understanding.

He walks slowly towards the prone mech, processing flickering between wariness at the more distant threat and satisfaction, calculation at the nearer form.]

[Harry is content to just...stand his distance and watch. He, however, is watching closely. He feels guilty for hurting Soundwave, so at the least he can keep an eye out from a distance.]

[The program approaches, black mask tipping up and down as he studies the shape. The mech is huge, something Rinzler never got close enough to really observe in their last fight. Blue liquid (energy?) is visibly leaking from seams in the head, and the drone from before seems reconfigured into some kind of cannon. Some of the data about his alternates did hold, then ( ... )

[Knock Out very rarely had cause to regret his choice to stick with his ground-bound altmode instead of upgrading to flight like most of the other Decepticons, but right now he had to concede that he was being a bit inconvenienced. The cargo-sledge he'd dreamed into existence was a faster choice than a boat, but it wasn't exactly optimized for speed-- or for use over open water.

Still, he had no choice but to make the best of it. And making the best of it included transforming as soon as he touched ground on the island, leaving the cargo sledge behind in favor of his own much faster wheels.

Between the distinct energy signature of his spark and the thin electrochemical tang of spilled energon, Soundwave's presence wasn't difficult to trace once Knock Out was on-location, and he was quick to home in on the injured mech. There was Soundwave, and that must be the squishy keeping its distance, and that--

Oh, that was a problem ( ... )

[ Rebecca had not been expecting to get stuck in the middle of a budding war between Decepticons and a program (she recognizes the outfit; she's hung out with Quorra enough). Granted, she hadn't expected Harry to nearly blow up Soundwave, either.

She had to duck away for a bit to make sure most of skin was covered, not wanting to risk energon eating through her hands or any other adverse side-effects. As usual, when she comes back, everything has gone to hell. She's moving, Haste magic (and not the kind that fries electronics) cast over her so that she can move faster than usual and try to yank Rinzler back before Knock Out kills him (and before Rinzler stabs Soundwave in the chest). ]

[Harry had been keeping his distance while Rebecca suited up was leaning against a tree and trying to not think wizardly thoughts. Who knows what might make that guy blow up? Instead, he yelled at Rebecca that people were coming to help the bot he just wrecked and one of them was here. And while he'd been eyeing the guy in the raver latex outfit, he was content to stay his distance.

Then the guy reared his arm back with some sort of glowy disk in hand. Tech savvy or not, there was no mistaking the posture of someone ready to strike a killing blow. He shouted. Rebecca showed up in a blur behind him as another car came flying up the other side of the hill, unfolded into a humanoid form and made a swing for Raver Latex Boy.]

[...Rinzler had been very careful not to raise his disk. Not to activate it in advance, not to visibly show any kind of threat or warning. He wasn't interested in testing the user's reaction times, not after showing up to find Soundwave in this shape-with no visible external injuries, either. Of course, all of Rinzler's intentions were glitched in a matter of nanocycles.

Peripheral sensors detected motion. The mask snapped up, to the side, hands jerking apart as one froze rigid, low and ready to strike, the other bringing his second disk up, angled. Block, deflect, counter-

...That was-

He had maybe 0.01 micro to recognize the morphing, incoming, launching tons of metal flying towards him, the clear and crackling threat of the long weapon as sharp energy arced through the air. Response lines flared to life-complete the strike, drop low, leap off, counter. No blocking that, as much for the weapon as for the massive force-his systems would be fried, or crushed, or both. He had to move (strike), maneuver (finish the GameThen something ( ... )

[He is really, really not used to non-Cybertronians being as fast as the ones in this city keep proving themselves to be. As quick as an electronic impulse Rinzler has moved, avoiding the initial thrust of Knock Out's prod--

Or would it be more accurate to say he's been moved? There's another squishy on the scene, one Knock Out had missed or overlooked in his initial hasty scan of the situation, one that seems to have just grappled Rinzler out of the way of Knock Out's attack.

He compensates his trajectory midair, one hand impacting with the ground on the far side of the supine Soundwave from where Knock Out launched. One neat handspring and a twist of his body later and Knock Out's landed on his feet. He scans the scene again-- two skin jobs, one malicious program, and Soundwave-- and makes a show of raising both his hands, the crackling tip of his prod pointing into the sky.

He smiles.]

Well. This is the quite the little mess, isn't it?

[His voice is light, reassuring, almost sleazily ingratiating, but his red and black ( ... )

[ In all the chaos, the screeching sound of disk on metal hits Rebecca harder than everything else. No, no-- she needs Soundwave, that's why she's here instead of just letting someone else take care of the mech.

She doesn't waste her breath swearing, instead focusing on trying to keep Rinzler in place. That disk is a weapon, that's clear enough, and if it can slice through the metal hide of a Decepticon, she doesn't want to know what it will do to her. One hand darts out, still Haste-induced, to try and grab at the wrist of Rinzler's disk-hand. She's strong, for a 28-year-old human woman, and while it might not show the rest of the time, it shows in combat; she has training, she exercises every day, and the city has only improved her physical condition.

Rebecca ignores Knock Out for now, instead trying to twist to get Rinzler on the ground. She's fully ready to electrocute him if she has to. ]

[And lets check in with our man on the field, Harry Dresden. Harry?

Well Self, we seem to have a Mexican Standoff of one (still)wrecked robot that I nearly turned into a paperweight, Raver Latex Boy, another robot who seems to only be able to process the painfully obvious and my girlfriend who is restraining said Raver Latex Boy. And part of my creepy island has been demolished. That's about how it stands.

What will you do, Harry?

What I do best - make my displeasure known.]

Okay, enough! [He's pointing his blasting rod - a thumb wide stick - at the tableau] I will Hexus first and ask questions later if everyone doesn't take a step back and SIT DOWN.
