[Having accidentally used Heartless Angel on his apartment while under the influence of the fear toxin, Sephiroth had done a lot of damage to his residence. There weren't separate rooms in the apartment any longer, most of the interior walls having been destroyed: most completely, but some only partially

She gets her answer fairly quickly. ]
Holy crap.
[ Peeking into the doorway of her neighbor's apartment, part of her brain helpfully pointing out that this could have contributed to her own hallucinations, Ariadne blatantly stares at the mess. She very nearly misses the man cleaning up, but the smell of coffee trickles into her senses and she blinks. ]
Uh... Would you like some help?

[Of course, he must politely refuse.] Thank you, but it's not necessary. In a way, it's a relief to have a task to focus on. [He'd distributed the fear toxin remedy and destroyed hex bags during the trouble, but now those missions were complete. He's something of a workaholic. He pauses to consider his walls.] Although I fear I may have caused some structural damage.

Let me see.
[ She really hopes he hasn't, of course -- she lives here too, for one thing -- but there's still that delightful tingle of work and challenge going through her. ]

He doesn't care about any of his possessions here, which is good, as he destroyed them. Other than the espresso machine, only the mirror is whole and undamaged, as it has reformed itself. On the wall, it plays out its limited drama of a military investigation in a cold, dead northern town.
He doesn't mind her entry, giving a mannerly nod.] Yes, of course. Fortunately, it was a minor blast.

My apartment was untouched by it, at least.
[ Looking over the walls and whatever else because her mun is not an architect, Ariadne is quiet for a moment, making mental notes. Eventually, she stands back. ]
I don't think it's too bad. Mostly internal, nothing that can't be fixed.

You have some experience in such matters? I'm thinking of clearing out what's left of these walls. I'd prefer a more open space, though I didn't mean to create one in such a dramatic manner.

[ Frowning slightly in thought, Ariadne tucks a bit of hair behind her ear as she looks around. ]
You'll want to be careful with the electricity and the plumbing. I'm not an electrician or a plumber, but those are two things you don't want to mess with unless you have experience.

Yes, there was trouble with the wiring and pipes initially, after the accident. I had to dream them into another state. I believe I can dream in new wiring and plumbing, as intimate knowledge of a system doesn't seem to be a requirement for successfully creating it here.
[In the real world, he most likely would have caused more damage with his accidental action.]

If you're going to stick with that, make sure that you specify that you'd like it to still be connected and work with the rest of the wiring and pipes in the building. I'm not sure if that will help, but otherwise, we might all have to go have a sleepover somewhere while someone fixes it.
[ She's really hoping it'll work, though. She's not keen on the idea of asking Arthur or Eames if she can stay over, not after the way she acted while drugged up on fear toxin. Tommy's an option, of course, but... ]

Are there tradespeople here? I've had no occasion to seek one out before. Though there's no currency and no real economy, I suppose there could be people who deal with such matters because they enjoy it.

[ She's been trying not to question the long silver hair, but... don't they have some sort of dress code in the army that involves buzzcuts? ]
I'm not sure, to be honest. I've only been here for a few weeks. I would think there might be someone with experience out there, though...

I am the general in command of Shinra's army, to be precise, though with neither Shinra nor army here, I have only the title.
My name is Sephiroth, and you may call me simply that. [He extends a hand.]

Ariadne. [ She takes his hand, giving it a shake -- perhaps surprisingly firm, for a small human girl with no extraordinary powers. She's not one to give limp fish handshakes, if nothing else. ]

A pleasure, Ariadne. I assume you're one of my neighbors. [He releases her hand after giving an answering squeeze.] Would you care for a cup of coffee?
Reply
I am. I have to admit, I haven't done a very good job of seeing who my neighbors are. [ Well, fixing that now. ] I'd love one, if it's not too much trouble.

I'm the same. I'm only familiar with the Judge Magister, myself.
[He moves toward the espresso machine.] No trouble at all. Do you have any preferences?
