The image reveals that she has her left arm in a sling still, nice reminder of the Friendly reminder event. She seems to limp still and she slowly walks from the kitchen counter, where her PORTAL lays, to the stove. She makes

I'm fine, Desmond. [Oh how ironic she uses his words against him, no? But Lucy isn't really thinking about that and she slowly kneels down too: it's clear that whatever face the novice is making, it's not fazing the blond.]

I can clean up my own mess. [And so saying, she helps him with one hand, wiping down the coffee on the floor while he picks up the pieces of the broken cups. She tries not to let it show how she finds this frustrating: she hates not being able to do all what she used to do because of an injury.

She throws out the soaked paper towel with a barely concealed pout: she really was looking forward to that cup of coffee. And now it's time to get up and Lucy struggles to do so, trying to pull herself with one arm. a little help?]

[The protest that bubbles up when Desmond moves to help her up quickly dies on Lucy's lips as he wraps an arm around her. Warmth spreads on his cheeks and while her ego is bruised at needing help, the reasonable part of her admits that she does so, and the blond steadies herself as they walk back to the living room by leaning on the novice.]

All right, [she finally relents as she settles on the couch], I just....don't like being unable to do anything.

[She sits up so she can watch Desmond's broad shoulders as he works in the kitchen and smirks lightly after a moment, her tone teasing]

Although, you know, I think I could get used to this sort of treatment...

[There's a frustrated groan that can be heard before Lucy tries to grab her PORTAL on the kitchen counter. When she succeeds, she brings it down to look at it. The sight of the blue woman manages to make her smile, even though the creases on her forehead are still there]

I'm trying, Raven, I really am. But I'll admit that I miss having two hands and legs. You wouldn't believe how useful that can be! [The small pull on the corner of her mouth easily shows that she's being sarcastic here]

[The comment brings Raven's mind to her brother almost immediately, his presence there in the back of her head a sweet comfort. Though the memory of his gruesome death still gave her the occasional nightmare, knowing he was alive and well (for the most part) brought the woman much more relief than she could ever have imagined.

She can't help but grin back at Lucy.] I bet. Do you need some help? I already had to play doctor once with my brother to make sure he recovered quickly, do I have to come over and force you into bed too, Lucy?

[...Okay, that might have come out a little wrong.] I mean, I don't want you hurting yourself more during your recovery. If you want tea, I'm practically a professional at brewing it by now.

I don't really need help, [And even if she does, Lucy is not about to say it out loud.] but I wouldn't mind some company. There's just so much to watch on the network at the moment. And it'd be nice to have a real discussion.
