[Vanitas really can't take a joke. He should've seen this coming, really; should've warned Terezi against possible retaliation; it is Vanitas, after all. It's blood curdling, watching the feed. He almost screams, almost yells right at Vanitas to stop and think, not to do this-]

[But he doesn't. The Portal is still running, still showing it's owner lying there, and it's more than enough to have Ventus up on his feet and racing out the door.]

[It doesn't really take all that long to get to her. Not when he's running so fast, not when he tries oh so hard to search out where Vanitas is so he can go to where he was. As much as he doesn't know the troll, she'd greeted him with cheer when he'd been brought back with the others, offering companionship with a sense of ease despite the oddity of her nature.]

[Terezi coughs, jaggedly breathing at first, and doesn't move. It still hurts, quite a bit, but at least she's responding to the Cura's he's used.

A minute later she rolls over, eyes opening slightly and her nose picks up the scent of Ventus, and she throws a small grin at him.]

[He lets out a breath he didn't know he was holding, returning her smile with one of his own. She'd...be okay. If his darkness could hurt Terezi, then it was only right that he'd heal her in return, right?]

[There's a lot of wincing as she slowly but surely sits up, shakily taking the potion and giving it an odd face before drinking it.]

What is this stuff? It tastes like mint and limes.

[After watching Terezi get torn to shreds by snake-creatures the week before, this is exactly the sort of thing Nepeta didn't need to see. Her dismay is more than apparent in her tone]

[She's trying to say she's by the royalty's gardens, but it hurts so much to breathe, let alone talk, at this point. And to think, this was the best option out of everything else.]
