[During the outburst of violence in the city, N had stayed, determined to help as many people as he could, exhausting himself in the process. After the monsters had vanished and the city had returned to what seemed to be its natural state, he had, without a word to anyone, left the city for the forest, taking his Pokémon friends with him. He had

Your PORTAL is on.
[He doesn't know what else to say. It isn't something he particularly understands.]
You can leave it if it makes you sad.

I didn't mean to turn it on.
[He shakes his head.] My friends are here. I can't leave them. [The PORTAL didn't show the Pokémon in the woods, but N knows they won't fit back in his apartment. He looks around the room, slowly. These are all his things, but he doesn't feel like playing with them. He glances toward the door, his mind for a moment filling with an image of Ghetsis, who'd so often stepped through that door to visit him (he wouldn't stay long), but there's no one there.] I could sleep outside.

If you dream up a hammock or a sleeping bag, it would probably be really comfy outside.

[He pauses.]
Why is there a cage in your place of solace?

[obviously he's not, but what else can she say]

Hello, Harper. I found my Place of Solace as well. This is the room where I was raised. It brought back many memories of my childhood. [Although he lived here much more recently than that.]

Childhood memories, huh? Are they... not that good?

Yet there were some things about my past that I realized only recently. I was kept here in this room and not allowed to see other humans. I did not know that that was wrong.

[She doesn't know who it is N's talking about, but she knows from that one sentence that whoever it is doesn't deserve anyone's tears.]

Hello, Asha.
Perhaps that is why I am crying. Because he does not warrant tears, although he should. They took him away. I likely will not see him again.
[Shouldn't he love his father and want to see him? But then, is Ghetsis truly his father?]

[She's less quiet and uncertain than usual, her personality has been altered slightly by an accident with her abilities during the monster attacks. Before, she might have tried to be a little gentler with N's obvious upset, but now she falls to questioning it immediately - challenging it in an attempt to put a stop to it, caring in her own way.]
Do you want to? See him again.

I would like to see him, for there are many things I would like to ask him.
But I do not know if want to see him for his own sake, and I believe he would not answer my questions.

Are you alright?

I am well, Cloud. This is my Place of Solace.
I was remembering my childhood. I see it now, in a different light. So much has changed since last I was here.

It might as well be another room entirely. As familiar as it is, it is strange as well.
What was your childhood like, Cloud?

[he goes quiet though. he remembers that place. it was in the castle, a room which looked to belong to no more than a child, with toys that looked to be constantly played with. very recently too at the time.
N's room.
a concerned look surfaces once the male begins to cry, any uncertainty Touya may have had disappears and he manages to pipe up. a question that leaves him that he said without much thought.]
Would you like company?

[N turns to his PORTAL. Touya's voice is the voice he'd most like to hear right now, though he doesn't quite smile, tears still in his eyes.]
If you would like to come, I'd like to see you, Touya.

[His chest tightens, but he doesn't hesitate in nodding.]
Just tell me how to get there and I'll be there as soon as I can.

I will send directions. [He uses the PORTAL to transmit them, then pauses.] I will wait on the outskirts of the woods. It will be dangerous there for you until I have taught my friends to identify you.
