[It takes her a while to actually wake up enough to register that she's lying on the floor and that she even did anything to warrant someone calling her name frantically.]

'lo? Oh shite [lifting her head is not an option so she just about lifts the PORTAL so she'll be heard] people...people will die.

[She really cannot do words right now.]

That sound is more familiar than Harry wants to admit. It sends chills right down his spine when he turns his PORTAL on and sees Shirley in the throes of the death wail.

Then she falls, and Harry really begins to panic.]

[Harry you are not helping when she has a thousand angry bears walloping drums inside her head because right now she would very much like to curl up and die already.]

[That banging is definitely, decidedly, horrifically not helpful and one of the ghosts finally has the sense to go find Harry to show him that Shirley's downstairs in the bar, on the floor and it's a miracle she hasn't broken an ankle keeling over like that in her heels but that would probably hurt a lot less than her head.]

[She just about manages to get a grip on the PORTAL to raise the screen to confirm that yes, she matched the correct voice and name.]

I can...I can hear you. I'm not dead.

[Unfortunately. Wail-induced migraines are the worst pain she has to deal with.]
