[ video/inside the unnatural ]

Jul 30, 2011 03:57

[ The video feed clicks on, broadcasting to the entire network from inside a bright white hall. Whoever is holding the camera currently cannot be seen as they walk down past various doors. It's aimed low, like it's being held at someone's side, angled just enough to display the corridors in the unnatural as whoever the broadcaster is passes by. Showing off the few scientists still bustling about their work, giving not even a glance as the cameraman slips by silently with a click-clack of heels.

The feed continues like this for a while, idly panning up and down once in a while at random moments. Like when the camera passes by a room , the door only opened for the briefest of seconds to show what looks like a mad scientists dream before someone curses and slams the door again.

Finally everything comes to a halt. The video cuts off for a few seconds, and when it returns, there are a good five or six scientists now sprawled out on the floor, groaning in pain. A worn looking door is now in sight, and the cameraman makes sure to focus right on it as they forcefully shove it open.

The inside of the room is the same as the room the King and Queen were in before Promenade was pushed ten years into the future. The voice that shouts is the very same voice that spoke with them from off-screen -- childish yet someone who's seen it all, impulsive but powerful. ]

Stop!

[ The one holding the camera halts for all of a second before continuing despite the warning, speaking with the obvious voice of a woman, but muffled and indistinguishable behind the unseen mask on her face, ]

What if I don't?

You're supposed to knock. [ The voice whines. When she doesn't stop, its voice switches from whiny to annoyed. ] I said stop!

Are you fucking serious right now? Nobody had the common courtesy to fucking knock when they kidnapped us all from our homes. Why the hell do we have to be polite to you? Who are you? Are you the one pulling the strings here?

I said STOP! [ On cue, chains appear in midair to try to wrap around her, writhing like snakes. ] You are home and you're gonna be happy!

[ The camera drops, showing the masked guard standing there with chains around her, tugging on them in an attempt to break free while staring at the darkness in front of her - where she assumes the voice is coming from. ] Just so you know, bondage will not make me happy. I'm not even into that.

No one will be happy, because this isn't home, now tell me why we're here, dammit! Tell everyone why we're here-- [ she gets cut off when one of the chains snaps up by her face and sends the mask crashing to the ground, exposing the traitor as none other than miss Noah Morgan. ]

Because! [ The voice sounds exactly like a petulant child throwing a temper tantrum, and the way the chains tighten and thrash reflects that. ] Guards! Come here!

[ Noah groans out in pain, reaching up against her bindings to make sure the chains don't end up snapping her neck. ] I can't believe we're being held hostage by a fucking brat! Go play with your blocks and let us go home already! [ Whoops, guards are moving fast today.

As she's being dragged away, chains and all, she screams out to whoever's watching, ] People should not be afraid of their captors-- The captors should be afraid of their captives!

[ and with that the feed ends. ]

[ It's a while later that the feed somehow comes back, far from the unnatural, but the video is short and switches to audio shortly after with the sounds of the city in the distance. ]

[ OOC: Replies will be coming from diebotin since Noah, you know...can't.

BOLD is Noah, and normal is the disembodied creep. ]
