[ Hey hey hey, wolf, thanks. He gets rather touchy about the difference. ]

A couple centuries, give or take.

Eden! How do you manage to live with all those trinkets laying about? And what are you working on, if you don't mind me asking?

[She almost smiles,]

I enjoy them, Jack. [Everyone in her family was a hoarder, they were a possessive group that did not like to let go of anything once it was within their grasp, and certainly not something which made them feel powerful.]

And here I am working on totems.

... I really, really like it here. I don't understand why others don't.

[She looks up curiously. She does recognize this one, but she had neglected to ask for her name.]

I understand if they long for home, but it is no reason to spite the city.

Well, to be fair, this city has done some... cruel things in the past. But the people are nice, you can dream up everything you want, the city is beautiful... It makes me sad to see that so many people hate it.

[Her life before the city had been a cruel one, the city itself is relatively tame compared to life under her mother's rule.]

I suppose we shall have to enjoy it for them.

[She lifts her eyes curiously.]

Two such have come and gone, and I greeted them both, yes.
