Doctor, there's been reports of violence towards the inner part of the city.

[The feed shows the interior of a room with a window looking outwards into the city. Obviously this is in the Unnatural, Genero pacing, furious and worried. His hands are behind his back and his head is bowed in thought as he only keeps moving, moving, moving.]

I think you can safely count the residents as alerted now.

More of a term of what the things are, rather than that they're here.

Judging by observation, what they need is solutions, not Jeopardy answers.

And I see you're so eager to help in that, Lucifer.

The residents now already. How we stop it?

We're aware that they recognize the signs of danger. What Doctor Genero was speaking of was alerting residents to possible ways to get rid of them.

It is said in the legend Vengeance Children mostly take the form of their target's loved one in order to get close to them. Their true form is only dictated as a "fog" or something similar. If the target sleeps, they fall into a stupor and are made to do "things they would never dare." The most the legend has said on defeat is removing the host from the body by force or by a lack of space- lack of oxygen, for better words.

Lack of oxygen? How we do that?

You don't. Let us handle it.

[a hiss] Geez, thanks, jackass. In the time you took to fuckin' notice, I've already dealt with TWO of the things.

Get with the program!

Unhelpful comments from the peanut gallery usually are ignored, Shiro. Yours included.

Now, do you want to know how to get rid of them or just continue fighting blindly?

Hnnrggh. [growling, and not really caring how this lady knows his name]

Tell me their weakness. Now. Or I'll just kill them, host and all.

Arrogant as ever. How unsurprising.

If you need to know, the host needs to be separated by force. So long as the body isn't killed, the Vengeance Child should let go if they're beaten. If you cause any deaths, know it will be on your head.

Under the normal circumstances, I'd be inclined like my fellows above me to point out the freaking obvious. But I can make the scathing remarks later.

[Holding up the vacuum that has his Vengeance Child trapped within it, still bouncing around and screeching from within the clear compartment. The doggie rubber ball keeps the hose sealed.]

Hell, I'll pass on the Bunsen burner jokes completely if you tell us how to get rid of these things.

I'm surprised, usually you're the one indicating everyone else is a copy of some degenerate pop-star, movie, or comic, Harry.

I can tell you what we know from the legend, but I'm afraid it won't help like a step-by-step manual.

[Lady, dont remind him. As it is, he's really trying to keep a lid on the wiseassery to get an answer out of someone.]

Alright, hit me with the Brothers' Grimm notes.

The legend for Vengeance Children states that they usually take the form of someone their target knows. When the target is resting or asleep, their body is prone to being taken over. From there, it is said the host does 'things unthinkable' and go into an enraged state. Much like a berserker, as you have seen.

The best advice states either forcing the spirit out of the body either through a mantra, violence, or to put them in a place lacking in space- oxygen, to be more precise.

If this is the way you people handle fey outbreaks, I gotta wonder just who in the hell is signin' off on your paychecks.

If this is the way you reply to the people who are trying to make sure no one else dies, I have to wonder just why the royalty like you new arrivals so much.

Do you want to know how to get rid of them or not, Mr. Morgan?

Seemed to me the others were makin' it damn clear, but I guess that ain't the case. If people are dyin' before you got any idea what the hell's goin' on, somebody ain't doin' their job right.

Oh yes, destroying the disguise is certainly going to get rid of them forever and ever.

[ THAT WAS SARCASM. ]

It's a bit difficult for me to be doing my job when I have to bander words with a bunch of incompetent, ungrateful fools who have no idea how this city works, now isn't it?
