How much do you really understand?

I look here and I see a few of you understand a little bit, but not enough. I see many of you lost, and it makes me think of how useful you're making yourself to the players of the game. What you are doesn't matter to me in the end. I'd rather not get verbose.

Just keep that question in mind.

amelia steinbeck: original character, lucifer: god the devil and bob, bernkastel: umineko no naku koro ni, altaïr ibn la-ahad: assassin's creed, rock lee: naruto, yako katsuragi: nōgami neuro, clive: professor layton

I don't like the idea of being a pawn very much.

It's not a role that's there to be enjoyed, but must be filled nonetheless.

Are you going to answer my question or not?

I'm not going to be conceited and say I understand much at all.

Then maybe you'll be fortunate and your role in the game will ascend at some point.

For now, however, you don't catch my eye.

Not nearly as much as I would prefer to.

How much would that be?

The basics of who exactly took us, besides just 'the King and Queen', why they took us and why us, and how they took us. Especially that last part, as it's pretty key in the process of getting sent back.

Fascinating.

I suppose all of that is common knowledge by now.

One could ask the same of you.

I know enough to get things started. After all, everyone is playing their own game of 'investigation', aren't they...?

I simply wish to view the angle others see the chessboard from.

To what purpose?

Shouldn't it be obvious?

I'm looking forward to the game that spawns from this. The inevitable and useless race for truth or a path home.

It seems to me that someone knows more than what they're letting on.

A small thing that I would hope some have picked up as well.

With enough luck, everyone will be as perceptive. It's a shame when people focus so much on the details that they overlook the big picture.

The big picture and the little details aren't so different here. It's the presumption that there's a large secret trapped within the boundaries of this world that is locking us all within that's holding these so-called 'detectives' back.

To understand it for what it is can only be the first step. Rushing on forward for anything else is idiotic.

[ If anything, it would amuse her too. ]

How much do you understand yourself?

mirakill January 10 2011, 04:57:08 UTC
More than most.

I've existed in this type of world before, and I see that most of the other new arrivals have not.

So you're familiar with a situation like this? Perhaps you could offer some advice, then, for all those less experienced arrivals.

There is no miracle for those who wish to escape. On my name and title, that I can assure you.

There is only what the players wish to do with you, as a piece on their game board.
