I know exactly what you mean. Many, actually most, times I'll do what you do and tell them I don't have any money or just speak English (i can adopt a pretty half-perfect american accent) and tell them I haven't got any Swedish/Danish money on me -- but this guy, I'd just seen him around so many times and... yeah. I just wanted to do something, you know?

Most people here in Sweden, even the older generation, speak English at least understandably. It's very strict with it here, in school you have these 3 basic subjects which are Swedish, Math and English and if you fail in either of those, you fail -everything-. It's sick.

No, we actually don't have Euros! We've kept our Swedish "kronor" (SEK). I'm actually satisfied with that, even though I know the Euros make it easier if you travel a lot... but did things get a whole lot more expensive down in Belgium too after the shift?

Haha, jag är fortfarande i det stadiet att jag inte riktigt listat alla jag läst. Jag har faktiskt bara listat de flesta av de jag läst de senaste två åren än så länge! Men jag gillar skarpt sidan, hade inte hört talas om den innan.

Lol, thank you, after all, it was you who suggested it in the first place! But I got to admit, though, that those books I've listed are just the books I've read over the past two-or-so years... I've not begun delving into all the books I've -ever- read.

I gotta take some time one evening and check through all my new friends lists. Seriously!

I don't think I've ever ventured to rhyme off all the books I've ever read! The ones you see there are just the last three years' worth, plus one or two dozen favorites I could remember off the top of my head.

Don't worry - there will be enough listy goodness to keep you satisfied. Just wait until you start organzing your list into bookshelves!!

you're so good, sweetheart. i'm always trying to give money to a homeless, but i don't always end up doing that. i mean, i'd be poor and i don't so much money myself. it's definitely a way of alleviating your mind, what you did, but i think you shouldn't feel engaged to donate them money.

I know, and i won't lie, usually I'll tell them in English that I don't have any money to give to them. But I'd just seen this guy around several times and I promised myself I'd do something after watching them throw him out of the train station -- I mean, for god's sake, all he was doing there was looking for somewhere windstill to sleep in fucking winter.

Thing is: that could might as well be me some day; you never know what happens in life. And if I was at that state, I'd want someone to do the same for me. I won't keep it up and just give out money to anyone, but I don't regret giving it to him.
