It's YOUR story. You can do whatever the hell you want. Those were just SUGGESTIONS. Like, nowadays, especially w' celebrities, you don't get stuck w' $600/month in support w' every other weekend visitation. Certainly when Serena isn't Mother Teresa (and doesn't appear to have to ability to charm a judge on her behalf) and there isn't anything in Darren's background to show that's he's somehow unfit to share custody with the mother.

This appears to be taking place in California where lots and lots of these custody battles take place, so the concept would not be foreign, and sharing custody would not be a novel notion.

However, as you said, going along with YOUR storyline, apparently that's not what Darren wants to do, so that's that. (It WOULD be weird if Chris found somebody else, but since that is, actually, a soap opera, not really... They change partners like twice a month...)

I understand that they are suggestions and such...but in this fic neither Darren nor Chris are celebrities as of yet. Honestly Darren just is so confused about what to do he's going by the "traditions of the old days" and what not because no one is really helping him. However more options will become open to him quite soon, he just has to explore them.

Also, Chris has no plans of finding someone else. He loves Darren. CrissColfer are endgame in this fic, so it will all work out. I just said the stick with me thing because a lot of people were like getting angry about Darren thinking he had to marry her. Anyway, this was longer than I intended it to be.
