The Jeff Foxworthy show is currently on Nick at Nite.

What??

I guess this makes sense, what with the Blue Collar Comedy group being so popular right now, but lordy. Also, I love how the show had not one, but TWO famous child stars in its cast. Also, Jay Mohr.

In closing: What??

edit: YAY! Now Night Court is on :D :D :D and omg, I ( Read more... )

hahah I liked that show :D of course, I was 8 years old when it first came on TV, so I don't know now if it was actually funny or not. haha
I think my taste was pretty okay, since my favorite TV shows at that age were The Simpsons, The Tracey Ullman Show, and Animaniacs. Oh and Power Rangers. hahahhahsdaffhk. Hmm... I can't think of anything I liked back then that I would not be able to stand now. But, who knows. Maybe my memory is glossing things over. OH YEAH. Richard Simmons exercise tapes. There's something I can't stand now. Maybe The Jeff Foxworthy Show DID suck!

Okay, first of all, Chris Elliott is THE SHIT. I don't care what my mom says. "Get a Life" = one of the Best. Shows. Ever.

Secondly, isn't it wonderful that Debra Jo Rupp has finally found her niche? She's always been this kind of second- or third-string character -- Kitty Foreman is the role she was born to play.

Sometimes if I watch Comedy Central for a long time I'll get hypnotized, and then one of those Blue Collar Comedy things comes on (the standup stuff, not the actual show) and I end up watching it, and subsequently chuckling to a lot of it. Except for Larry the cable guy. I've never laughed at anything he's ever done.

Man, Haley Joel Osment AND Jonathan Lipnicki? HA. HA. HA. Now that is hilarious.

Jeff Foxworthy is actually genuinely funny most of the time. I don't ever mind when Comedy Central plays one of his specials.

holy crap, this is a really late reply... purple_reign September 8 2005, 07:49:34 UTC
but I just had to. y'know how it goes.

I was with a bunch of people who love the Blue Collar Comedy tour, and I mentioned that I didn't think Larry the Cable Guy was funny, and everyone in the room gasped. Not a jokey gasp, but a genuine "oh-no-you-didn't" gasp.

I do know how it goes, indeed.

And all I can say is... WOW. Part of me would love to temporarily climb into the brain of someone who thinks Larry the Cable Guy is funny, just so I could see what that would be like, but then again, I think I'd rather leave it as one of those things I'll never understand.

I hate being the only person in a group who has a certain opinion. It's sooo awkward.
