I think you need to use a different background template. Like Smooth Sailing or something. Mine's currently in Flexible Squares.

If you're in S2, go to the Sidebar link on the left hand side. I don't know if it'll show up straight away (you may have to hit the "expand all" link), but there should be a "Display of tags" option with a drop-down menu. You can only choose list or cloud, but hey.
