I've been watching snippets of Be Good Johnny Weir. And God, they hurt. A lot. The pressure is terrible. Well, there are scenes of him shopping, frolicking, basically being outrageous. But you can see how the competition, winning, is uppermost in his mind. And you caught yourself wishing hard that he would win, that he would skate well

I'm so glad to hear that, Julia. That's what I think about most of my LJ friends as well. I might not understand their fandom, but it's always interesting to catch a glimpse of other people's life.

I just wish you could use iTunes to watch the complete eps. But the last episode is coming up in a couple of weeks so maybe DVD will come out after that. *fingers crossed*

Awwww! I'm just in awe that some of the friends I made when I was first on LJ are still around, despite the change in fandom and RL issues and whatnot. You guys keep me sane and happy. *hugs*

It's interesting how my obsessions sort of trail after you. A couple of years off the mark, but still... Just think "The Persian Boy", and then Temeraire, and now figure skating.

I still can't manipulate iTunes into giving me BGJW. But some kind soul on _skating had uploaded it somewhere where it is friendly for Indonesian IPs to download from. Now my only complaint is the pitiful download speed and the lack of time to watch these episodes in endless loops. :)

I think so, too. Only, I'm rather worried my friends who are here because of hobbits etc will be disappointed to see me wandering in an unhobbitlike direction.

Although, of course, there's no telling that the hobbits do not figure skate. :D
