That's true I'll agree with you it was hysterically funny. I would've liked to have "seen" what a snit looked like.

This is great! Wet feet are the worst, though the thought of Boromir in Legolas' boots makes me giggle. Have you ever noticed how much attention Tolkien pays to the weather? And how miserable his characters are when they have to travel or camp in the damp? I think that his own experiences as a soldier show in that kind of detail.

*nods* Yeah. And I totally agree--he would have known personally how lousy bad weather can be if you're stuck out in it, and it shows in his writing. After a few times sleeping in a flooded tent, just the thought of camping in the wet makes me cringe too. ;)
