Somethin' of the sort. Healed the first fella that found 'em. Even made the carrier hosts virtually indestructable.

As much as a miracle as it seems, it mutates a person. Causes 'em to start goin' crazy and without it, people die. Like they say, with the good comes the bad.

You can read the detailed report for yourself...I have found a collection of Rapture's scientific publications, and several doctors give quite the excellent summation of ADAM's production and capabilities...as well as the development of genetic tonics called 'Plasmids'.
