I know some of y'all don't go to Facebook, so I figured I'd make an offer for invites over here first where that might not happen as much. Also: facebook is calling youuuuu!!!

Also, hi! Crap but I'm busy this semester! I hope to someday write something substantial again...

I have to imagine Google Wave would be kinda like Facebook with a scorching case of ADHD (I mean even more scorching than the one Facebook already has), with people editing your stuff and poking around in your undie drawers.

Nah. It's more like a cross between IM and really souped-up email & eventually I'll probably move over there from gmail entirely. You don't really post stuff publicly like FB and it allows all sorts of nifty collaboration, so it's great for group projects at school, coordinating events, etc.

So you can still use your email like regular email for the ppl on your contact list who don't have Wave, and then for the people who DO have it, you can share features?

I remember sending a request for an invite some time ago, directly to google, so I might get my own soon. Hmm. I wonder if I should just wait.

Yes, that's correct. And thinking out loud always welcome! They seem to be giving preference to the invites from existing users, so I'd be glad to give you one if you want. I think I only had to wait a week before I got mine when Jim invited me.

So yeah, so far it's a small pool of users since it's a beta thing so I rarely need to use it with who's got it so far. But eventually it will be awesome. :)

Done, but "Invitations will not be sent immediately. We have a lot of stamps to lick." so it may be awhile, but you'll eventually get one. :)
