Now I feel like shit.
Update: Huge misunderstanding. I called him and he said he didn't realize I'd submitted anything at all - he was just telling me that had I submitted what I had on time, I wouldn't have been docked 50 points

This guy sounds like alternately a dolt and a jerkoff. The former could (maaaaaybe) be excusable if he weren't fully aware of it and therefore so embracing of the latter in an attempt to over-compensate.

The good news is that YOU are neither a dolt nor a jerkoff, nor are you married to the dolt or jerkoff in question, so you don't have to live with it in your off hours. This is that part when it becomes fully justifiable to pity him.
