I tried the birthdate thing for my smartrider too and it didn't work, so maybe we have to actually go and get it registered..

When i registered mine, i dont recall having a password thingy...except to get on student connect...
Err, have you tried leaving it blank? i filled in an autoload form and on that form they asked for the particular password i'd want to use (like you said, birthdate as default for student and pensioners)

you went to the transperth website...GO TO STUDENTCONNECT AND CLICK SMARTRIDER =P
thats how you register it as a student

Yah, I already registered on Student Connect, but I want to register on the Transperth site as well b/c you can check your card balance online if you do. =P
