I am almost positive I have a stone in my parotid duct. Aside from the pain, there is a lump the size of a walnut behind the angle of my jaw and in front of the bottom of my ear.

Great.

Not much you can do for it, unfortunately. A doctor usually has to unblock the duct with a wire tool or by "milking" it, though sometimes they have to remove it surgically, and once you get a stone you're always at risk of more. :( I'm doing everything I could find online, including firmly massaging the gland (OW), applying heat packs, and taking anti-inflammatories. And tomorrow I guess I get to go to the free clinic and sit there until they can see me. :P

Thanks, hon. I appreciate that. Hubby and Wiggle both said they can see the swelling clearly and it feels huge when I touch it. :( Bleh.
