Am just finishing up reading the "Very Secret Diaries" series. These were sort of amusing but did not make me laugh, except for a few particular entries, such as:

"Day Eight: Unnerving moment when bumped into Eomer. Thought he might be prettier than me until he took off helmet. Fortunately he looks like an aardvark

I can't remember everything about those diaries - been too long since I read them - but I admit some parts were funnier than others. *g*

I enjoyed the Secret Diaries but I've read lots of things since that were just as good!

It was amusing and entertaining, but from what some folks said about the series, I guess I was just expecting it to have me laughing out loud and holding my sides, dying of gigglefits. It wasn't bad, though.

I think it was funnier when they came out. This was one of the first parodies that were out there right when LotR came out. I can see how someone reading them now wouldn't be in love with them.

I remember reading them in class with my friends (instead of learning, like good students! :P) and giggling ridiculously. Fond memories. Fond, slashy memories. ;P
