see I've never been a huge fan of freezing cold drinks anyway I dont know why, only when I've been out in the southern heat all day! but softdrinks come out of the tap cold enough for me

I guess it's kind of strange because I don't have ice in my freezer at all. But I do only drink cold beverages COLD. I don't drink faucet water even though we have a filter on the faucet so it tastes okay; the issue is it doesn't come out cold enough and that makes it yucky. :P

I know stuff is gross, but sometimes ignorance is bliss. I don't even eat fast food, but I wont see Supersize me or Fast Food Nation whatever it is cause I just don't wanna know. hahaha

Oh I know fast food isn't good for me. That doesn't bother me. But this article told how filthy the ice is in restaurants, and that grosses me out bigtime. :P I mean, you would think you'd be safe with just getting a DRINK at least, but apparently not.

yeah, and then I've heard horror stories about Lettuce from restaurants (however the fuck that word is spelled) Like they get it in big boxes and leave it open. My ex found bugs in her salad and has NEVER gotten a salad since. I can't bring myself to get them either. Looks like I can't drink anything with ice either...

It really is gross, the restaurant business. When I was pregnant with Wiggle, Mr. I and I worked at an Italian restaurant (run by two guys from Turkey and managed by a Nicaraguan o_O) and every day I had to make up the salads and they would indeed bring in big boxes full of lettuce and stuff and when I started washing the lettuce I got in trouble because they didn't do that there, it took time and was a pain in the ass, so they just sliced it up as is. I was so grossed out. And there were often big huge stick-bugs and giant beetles and things crawling and getting loose on my work table and I'd freak out, and everyone just rolled their eyes, picked it out of my greens and tossed them aside and served it to the customers anyway. *gulp* All I could think about was the amoebas and stuff that was on that lettuce. Urgh. Remarkably, we sold gazillions of salads (we were in a big office-dense area) and never had a complaint from a customer about getting sick from the food. I figured folks would be dropping like flies. :P
