Here via fragmentedsky. I just wanted to say that I love everything about this post. I was kind of disappointed with the finale (especially sideways world), but you managed to make me feel better about all of it. So, thanks for that.

This is absolutely lovely. You really put into words how mystical the island is. I actually really loved the finale, mainly because I'm a sucker for character stuff, but this is a lovely look at what happens Afterwards. (Though I notice that you don't mention Kate, Claire, Sawyer etc)

Thanks! I'm glad I could help. I've always loved the character stuff too, but there needs to be a hearty dose of mythology along with it (unless it's Ben Linus. Him, I could watch all day in wide-eyed admiration). My favorite episodes are usually the ones that mix the two. The finale mostly saddened me because I was expecting many more twists and turns and the incorporation of other mythology leads; instead, it was pretty much what it said on the tin. The only two things that really had me on the edge of my seat were Frank coming back (HOORAY) and Ben getting stuck under a tree (yelling "IF HE GETS DEATH BY TREE I SWEAR TO GOD I WILL KICK SEVEN KINDS OF SHIT OUT OF DARLTON ( ... )

Aw, it's ok, my journal is pretty slow these days too! Hopefully there will be some fun stuff for you to read there sometimes.
