On Saturday my husband and my daughter went out to eat and then to the annual father/daughter dance with some of our neighbors and their daughters. Betcha don't hear people say that very often, huh? Well, turns out that it's actually true and I think it's pretty cool. I'm sure a few of my neighbors would be yanking their kids out of a Sunday school class like that, but I've never seen why science and religion have to be mutually exclusive.

Yesterday, my father-in-law had a mild heart attack and is in the hospital. Thirteen years ago he had to have quintuple bypass surgery to replace two of the arteries in his heart that were almost totally blocked and since then has been great about eating right, staying active and taking his medications.
