I have to say I agree wth every blimmin word of that. To the point where I'm not sure what else I can add to make it any more complete.

When I left the cinema I commented that there was a hell of a lot missing, but if you have never read the books then it was a VERY good film. For me, an avid reader of the booked, I felt a lot of the story was bullet-pointed, if you know what I mean. Like instead of telling certain parts in a tale, they boiled it down to a list of information that needed to be out there to make it all make sense.

For me though, they left out a WHOPPER of a plotline by not including the information that it was Neville who was almost in Harry's place, and likely the reason his parents are insane (hell, it didn't even allude to his parents still being alive and in a mental hospital).

I was kinda bummed also that they cut out Ron playing Quidditch. I had been looking forward to that.

OMFG! Yes! It was just completely cut out as if it was not the least bit important and I was all HELLO!? WTF?! I think adding 30 more minutes to the film and maybe giving a few more minutes to important stuff like Neville, The Order, and maybe actually letting the audience know wth Dumbledore was ignoring Harry all year (that crappy explanation of it at the end so did not cover it!)would have made the movie so much better. I think there were also things that could have been left out-especially the crap that they added in that is not even in the FUCKING BOOKS!!!! GRRRR! I really hate when they cut out great stuff from the book only to put other stuff in the film that JK Rowling never even wrote in cannon!
