Gunshot to the heart, as neat as these things can ever be. He's lying very still and oddly graceless on the immaculate Mansion floor, still with that vaguely stunned expression, and quite beyond resuscitation.

[Not that Lascelles' typist would mind having his intro spammed, as she is quite gleeful about getting so many responses, but moving on...]

What a coincidence, then, that Justitia should be the first (or, at least, one of the first) to pass this way after Mordred's shooting. He has a book open in his hand, and is reading it as he walks, so that he almost misses the body on the floor - but, as he nearly trips on it, he does manage to notice.

And then notices.

"Wh--oh, he--Mordred! Oh, damn," falling awkwardly to his knees on the floor beside Mordred's body, wishing desperately that they had better curse words in his ard, and dropping his book. "Oh, damn, damn--"

Clar does not shift her attention from her brother in the slightest, except to say, "No good swearing now," to Justitia.

"When would have been the right time?"

Clar shrugs. "Not now."

Clar finds him, not meaning to, and drops her basket to check his pulse at his throat - ridiculous thought, but it's best to be through isn't it? yes, best to be through -

She sits down at his feet, watching him intently. Anyone's guess what she's thinking.

"What's to be done?" Ragnelle says, standing behind her--a simple question, simply asked.

Clar shakes her head. Keeps watching.

Ragnelle, then, goes over to the other side of the body and looks at it thoughfully.

She sees. There's a long, long moment of looking, silently, without moving. But she remembers things with Gareth, knows she's not wanted here. She just can't seem to find the will to leave right away. She will in a moment.

Ragnelle will, at some point, look over to her and muster some focus. "Aye, child?"

"Is there..." Her voice is raw at first and she tries again. "There's nothing to be done, is there>"

Draco sees Mordred lying there and hurries away, looking very distressed.
