And the winner is...

I ended up having to work till 3am to catch up on tasks that were delayed due to University/Oscars and today I'm so tired that my driving instructor was forced to comment that I was obviously working hard as it was showing in my driving accuracy but... it's the Oscars and sometimes it must be done.

On the Oscars )

ditto on the all-singing, all-dancing Hugh - i felt the entire awards were given a shot in the arm from real, at times left-of-centre irreverence instead of the usual, outdated sly industry quips driving past ceremonies. too much fun.

although the introductions of nominees by past winners were at times hit-and-miss, i loved the overall feel that it gave the awards - much more personal, and a feeling of passing the torch to the next generation. very nice. although Sophia Loren spat hers out - as we all knew she would.

You know, I'm not sure I want you at any party where we discuss movies that don't contain one of the following: werewolves, bikers, rollergangs, wrestlers, blacksploitation, vampires or clowns.

I'm generally happy with any movie that involves an exploding head, or time travel.

We've got to make a movie that contains all of those elements.
